May 2019 Wrap Up

May has been an absolute whirlwind month, a juggling act of my Wyrd and Wonder TBR and ARC requests that I let myself make.  I sadly only ended up reading 4 books from my original Wyrd and Wonder TBR, but two of those were backlist reads that were high priority, so there was still success!  I also finished an audiobook for the first time in years, and let myself have the rare pleasure of reading an ARC a number of months before its actual release.  Other updates:

The Great Series Read Project

I didn’t read any sequels this month (CROOKED KINGDOM I finished at the end of April), but I’m calling that fine because I managed to at least START a couple series that have been on my list.  I read JADE CITY, ahead of JADE WAR releasing this summer, and RED SISTER, first of THE BOOK OF THE ANCESTOR trilogy.  Next month I’m planning on reading THE ROSEWATER INSURRECTION and catch up on that series before the trilogy concludes in the fall.

  1. May was definitely a whirlwind month, indeed! I’m so glad you enjoyed Crooked Kingdom because I loved those two books so much! I’m definitely intrigued when it comes to Red Sister and I’m super interested in The Grace Year because I’ve heard it’s similar in concept to The Handmaids Tale. I hope you have a great month of June! c:
