August 2019 Wrap Up

This was a pretty impressive month reading wise!  Despite being down for the count for several days due to arm surgery, I’ve read eight books, which put me over my Goodreads Goal of 50 books for the year!  I’ve also read two books that count towards my Great Series Read Project, and one book that is on track to crack my Top 5 2019 releases.  I was a little light on original posts outside of Top Fives and Reviews, given my surgery making typing difficult, but I did celebrate my one year blogging anniversary!

Great Series Read Project Update

Some good milestones in my never ending quest to tackle the series that have stacked my shelves. I finished WORDS OF RADIANCE, book 2 in THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVES.  I’ve been toying with the speed I want to go from here, I might try to read book 3 in December, but with the recent news that book 4 likely won’t release until 2021, I might delay a bit so that the time between reads isn’t quite as long. Plus, there’s also novella 2.5 that I could tackle in the meantime.  This month I also reread THE THOUSANDTH FLOOR, book one in a soapy futuristic YA drama thriller. My goal next month is to read book 2, THE DAZZLING HEIGHTS!

    1. I’ve hit the point where I’ve checked all the easy boxes and very few of my reads for the month count lol. I tend not to read with an aim towards bingo cards, just check things off as I go along, so we’ll see if I can actually complete this!

      1. That’s usually how I do it too! But this year I was like ‘why not go with all vampire books for bingo’ so I’ve had to actually search out a ton of books which is very opposite to how I normally read LOL. It’s been fun so far though!
