This month was #SciFiMonth, something I’ve been looking forward to for weeks! I’ve beens squirreling away some backlist reads for this occasion and was determined to make this month as ARC-free as possible. I did surprisingly well, though now I have a stack of (amazing) ARCs in front of me to tackle before the year ends. It took me a few days to get going, but I managed to tackle 5 sci-fi books and start a 6th! Of those, one was a 2019 release I hadn’t gotten to yet, three were backlist, and two were November releases I’ve been looking forward to for ages (hello STARSIGHT!), so it was a very successful month! That’s in addition to a non-sci-fi audiobook and a YA ARC I was finishing when the month started. Huzzah!
December will be a month of ARC whack-a-mole, and hopefully one or two backlist reads squeezed in. And while the month won’t be as backlist heavy as I hoped, I have some pretty great reads in my future, including STEEL CROW SAGA and the latest Hail Bristol adventure. So December is going to be a fantastic closing month!
One last note, I’m forgoing a Bingo Update this month as I just haven’t had time to update my cards. Final progress next month!
Great Series Read Project Update
Some great progress this month in the series department! I read three sequels: THE DAZZLING HEIGHTS, BINTI:HOME, and THE TOLL and started STARSIGHT. I’m particularly proud of finishing THE TOLL, as it means that a full series is done and checked off! I’m working on a big update post for this project for December, so look for it in the coming weeks!

Fantastic reading month. I really need to get a start on Skyward (it was on my tbr for this month), I love Sanderson and I’ve had it since it came out.

I hope you find the strength (and the time) to finish that stack of ARCs by the end of the year. Can you believe I still haven’t read a Nnedi Okorafor novel? I must change this. Happy December!

Yay, glad November worked out for you with reading plans. I have some ARCs I have to get through this month too. Hoping to get those out of the way so I can get some other books too. I need more time before the year ends!
