Currently Reading: MASTER OF SORROWS by Justin Call
At the time of writing this, I’m about a third of the way through this upcoming fantasy release, and expect it will take me the rest of the week. So far I’m really enjoying it! The premise is thus: what if you discovered latent magical powers, and then discovered you weren’t supposed to be the hero of the story, but the villain? Hoping to have a review by next week, stand by!
Recently Finished: THE WOLF OF OREN-YARO by K.S. Villoso
I finished this fantasy adventure over the weekend, and really enjoyed it! This is a book that manages to walk a line of character exploration and fast-paced action. I have a few quibbles with it here and there, but overall I’m definitely going to be reading the next book in the series when it’s released. Look for a review later this week!
Probable Next Read: A PALE LIGHT IN THE BLACK by K.B. Wagers
After getting through the meaty epic fantasy that is MASTER OF SORROWS, I’m turning my attention to some sci-fi adventure! I’m very excited to read K.B. Wagers new book, which is completely separate from her Hail Bristol adventures. Unlike those, which are set over 1000 years in the future when humanity has established space empires, A PALE LIGHT is a near-future tale following what the author has dubbed the “space coast guard.” Our heroes are just going through mundane business, competing in the annual friendly games hosted between the military branches, when suddenly things begin to turn deadly. Sounds very up my alley!
Enjoy your reading!

Hey Caitlin! I just finished A Good Neighborhood (it was meh for me, review posted this morning). Currently reading Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line (it is good!), and next I am diving into The Queen of Raiders (Book 2 in the Nine Realms – Book 1 was so good I cannot wait to keep going).
I also have Wolf of Oren-Yao and Master of Sorrows up soon. I am looking forward to your reviews of them.

I really want to start The Wolf of Oren Yaro, but I’m sort of stuck in a weird book I’m not completely enjoying. I’m going to push through, though!
