Monthly Wrap Up: March 2020

It’s hard to believe, but the month of March 2020 has finally come to a close.  While coronavirus has made life difficult in so many ways, it HAS given us an excuse to read more.  This means that once again, I managed to finish all six of my goal reads, despite having some VERY hefty books on tap.  I also managed to read not one, not two, but THREE sequel books this month – more details below!

On top of everything else, we’re getting close to Wyrd and Wonder in May, the month-long celebration of all books fantasy!  If you’re interested in participating, click on the link above for more details!

The Great Series Read Project Update

Three sequels read this month!  That’s right, THREE! The first was a return to THE NEVERNIGHT CHRONICLE trilogy by Jay Kristoff, where I read book 2, GODSGRAVE.  Then, as I was fortunate to receive an eARC, I read NIGHT OF THE DRAGON, the final book in the SHADOW OF THE FOX trilogy, meaning I get to mark a full series as complete! AND I finished SHOREFALL, sequel to FOUNDRYSIDE, which will release in late April!

Next month, I’ve decided to let momentum carry me and read DARKDAWN, finishing the NEVERNIGHT series.  I also plan to read BLOOD TALLY, the sequel to UNCANNY COLLATERAL, an urban fantasy novella I read this month and really enjoyed!  Last, but not least, I’ll be reading NETWORK EFFECT, the first full-length MURDERBOT book, but fifth entry in the series!
