The Memory of Souls   The Nemesis

Currently Reading: THE MEMORY OF SOULS by Jenn Lyons
I ended up having to work most of the weekend, so I unfortunately barely had time to read. I’ve just crossed 60% of this gigantic book, and the pace is starting to pick up a bit, so I’m crossing my fingers I’ll have it finished before August comes to an end. There was a bit of floundering on my part when I began THE MEMORY OF SOULS, as I tried to remember what the heck was going on and who everyone was, but I’ve finally settled into the book, so we’ll see how things go from here!

Recently Finished: Nothing
Over halfway-through a 600 page book has to count for something!

Probable Next Read: THE NEMESIS by S.J. Kincaid
This hasn’t changed, though the likelihood I actually read it before September has drastically dipped. My reading this summer has felt incredibly slow, between having tome after tome on my plate and having less time to read due to changes in my work schedule. Nevertheless, I’m hoping to make up some ground by reading a few shorter books after THE MEMORY OF SOULS, especially with Self-Published Fantasy Month just around the corner!

And that’s this week in reading! What are you up to?

  1. Excellent choices, as usual, Caitlin. Let’s see. I just finished THE BOOK OF HIDDEN WONDERS by Polly Crosby. Quite an excellent read. Working on THE LAST STORY OF MINA LEE by Nancy Jooyoun Kim. Very interesting. And next on my list is AUXILIARY: LONDON 2039 by Jon Richter, which I think is going to be phenomenal.

      1. All 3 very unique books. The first are a little out of my wheelhouse, but I am able to enjoy them. THE BOOK OF HIDDEN WONDERS actually managed to get some tears out of me. It is beautifully-written.
