Monthly Wrap-Up: October 2020

October saw me getting a little bit back on track, reading 5 books this month, getting me closer to my usual 6. My reads were also a bit all over the place ratings-wise, ranging from a glorious 4.5 to a terrible 2.5. Thems the breaks! November is Sci-Fi Month, an event I always enjoy, and I think I’m going to leave my reads a little flexible! I’ve still got a few reviews I’m behind on, but I want to give some more attention to my backlist/mood reads, so we’ll see where the month takes me.

Great Series Read Project Update

Two sequels read this month, one I quite enjoyed, another not so much. I’ll definitely be keeping going with THE HEROES OF SPIRA series by Dorian Heart, likely sometime in the new year once all the dust (hopefully) settles from my backlog. The SERPENT & DOVE series by Shelby Mahurin, however, might be on the chopping block. After LOVING the first book, I was very disappointed with the sequel, so I may not continue on to the third and final book. We’ll see how my mood feels when the last book drops. November’s sequel read will be dedicated to RECORD OF A SPACEBORN FEW, book three in the WAYFARER’s series by Becky Chambers!

  1. Looks like you had a good reading month! Sad to see that you did not really for you.. I already was not a huge fan of Serpent and Dove, so I was not planning on reading it!
I really want to pick up Black Sun!
