A short month, but I still made some great progress! I’m averaging 5 books a month so far in 2021, which is better than my 3-4 I was averaging in the second half of 2020, so I’ll take it! Video games are still drawing a chunk of my attention, but whatever makes me happy! That being said, I’ve got a bunch of highly anticipated reads coming up, so I may find myself reading more! Case in point, I’m 2/3 of the way through A DESOLATION CALLED PEACE right now, which is definitely a read I try and sneak in whenever I have a few minutes.
I’ve also FINALLY caught up on my 2020 leftover ARCs, and am doing my best to stay ahead of my 2021 reading pile. My hope of making some backlist progress continues – I’ve got my eye on starting a trilogy that many of you won’t shut up about next month, so we’ll see what happens…….
This was a crazy month for the Great Series Read as EVERY book this month was a sequel! Some of it was keeping up with current releases, such as the latest books in THE REBORN EMPIRE and THE DRESDEN FILES series. OUT PAST THE STARS marked the third and final book in THE FARIAN WAR, so I checked a full trilogy off! And I moved forward in the AMRA THETYS self-published series, and will try to keep that in rotation in the coming months! The one book I didn’t get to this month was SOULBINDER, book 4 in the SPELLSLINGER series. Curse the shortness of February! But I’m making SOULBINDER my first March read, so I WILL make progress on that series!
