Soulbinder  A Desolation Called Peace  The Unbroken

Currently Reading: SOULBINDER by Sebastien de Castell
I’m finally back to the SPELLSLINGER series! Book 4 in this fantasy adventure sees Kellen seeking a hidden monastery that might hold the cure for an affliction that’s plagued him for months. I expect to speed through this in a few days, as I simply gobble these books up (I read the first book in about a day)! I’m only 50 pages in, but I expect that to quickly change.

Recently Finished: A DESOLATION CALLED PEACE by Arkady Martine
Took me an extra day into March, but I finished the new sequel to A MEMORY CALLED EMPIRE! DESOLATION was another fantastic read, full of strange aliens and political maneuvering. Definitely a book where the pages fly by. Full review hopefully up in the next day or two!

Probable Next Read: THE UNBROKEN by C.L. Clark
After a quick dip into the backlist pile, I’m diving into my one remaining ARC for March! THE UNBROKEN has been taking the blogger community by storm, and I’m excited about this f/f romance that also involves political machinations and rebellion. (Plus that cover!) A soldier and a princess will form an uneasy alliance to overthrow the princess’s despotic uncle in this North African-inspired fantasy. Once I’ve knocked this out, I’ll likely be turning my attention to a new project for the Great Series Read, a backlist trilogy I’ve had my eye on for a while….

  1. Def think you were right when you said I’d enjoy A Memory Called Empire and A Desolation Called Peace, they sound like my kind of book 🙂 Probs won’t get to them for a while though, what with all my Subjective Chaos reading and my mammoth Wyrd & Wonder project I’ve burdened myself with 😄 Hope you enjoy The Unbroken as well, it sounds fantastic!

  2. I feel like everyone is reading The Unbroken lol. I just finished it Sunday, and I agree that it fills me with anger and I kept putting it down to rant at my boyfriend about colonialism. But I did end up reading the last 40% of it in one day and I loved it
