Voidbreaker  Under the Whispering Door  Snowspelled

Currently Reading: VOIDBREAKER by David Dalglish
Another final book in a trilogy! It’s good to be back in the world of Londheim, a dark city plagued by goddesses, dragons, and magical creatures. I’m hoping I’ll have this finished by next week, but my schedule’s a little busy the next few days, so we’ll see how I do! What’s encouraging so far is that it’s a hard book to put down once I start, so fingers crossed it’s a finale that sticks the landing!

Look, I should have known what I was getting myself into in a story about souls crossing to the other side, but I still cried over the beautiful ending to this book. UNDER THE WHISPERING DOOR manages to be one of those surprisingly captivating books, for all that it is low on action and high on people simply…talking. Once again, TJ Klune has created the book equivalent of hot chocolate, where most people are good and kind and here to help you. I need to find time to write my full review, but if you enjoyed THE HOUSE IN THE CERULEAN SEA, you won’t be disappointed here either.

Probable Next Read: SNOWSPELLED by Stephanie Burgess
After VOIDBREAKER, I think I’m going to switch to something light and quick. That means it’s time for SNOWSPELLED by Stephanie Burgess! This is a reread, since I’ve been wanting to go back to the author’s HARWOOD SPELLBOOK series, and it’s been two years since I read this one! I really enjoyed this alt-Victorian fantasy romance, and I’m looking forward to rereading not only this novella, but (finally!) continuing on to the other novellas in the series.
